About

Bill Pfeifer is a tenor sax player based in Avalon on Sydney's Northern Beaches. A lifelong fan of jazz, blues, and soul saxophone, he cites jazz legends Lester Young, Ike Quebec, Stan Getz, and Stanley Turrentine, but also R&B masters such as Lee Allen and Maceo Parker as his greatest influences.

A largely self-taught, late starter Bill is trying to make up for lost time now that his days of employment as a Television Cameraman are coming to an end. He is relishing the extra time this now allows him to focus on performing locally and improving his playing.

Keff McCulloch grew up in the UK and after touring with bands such as 'Pickettywitch' and 'Pete Haycock's Climax', the next few years were taken up with session work and writing songs, TV adverts and jingles. He became an engineer and an independent producer, working with the the likes of Acker Bilk, Johnny Logan, The Troggs, Gerry Marsden and 'G.O.S.H' (Boy George, Go West, Dollar, Slade etc)

In 1987, Keff re-created the main theme and wrote the incidental music for Sylvester McCoy's years in the BBC TV's Sci-Fi series "Dr Who" and the video score of the film "White Mischief".

Keff now entertains in clubs, restaurants and at weddings, parties and corporate events. He also has a number of retirement / high care facilities where he thoroughly enjoys performing.
